Our Story

Our Journey So Far

FarmEco is a Community Benefit Society based in Screveton, Nottinghamshire. Founded in 2017, the farm began with the planting of thousands of fruit and nut trees across 45 acres of land. It is now one of the region’s largest and most mature agroforestry systems.

Today, we care for these trees, tend our organic vegetable garden, welcome school groups and visitors, run community activities and events, and support wildlife conservation across the wider 60 acres of farm.

Our members value the sense of belonging created here. It is a place where people come together, connect with nature, and share in the harvest of organic produce and foraged foods.

To be a thriving, inclusive community where people benefit from the wellbeing that comes through connection with nature, with each other, and with locally produced organic food.

Our Mission

Our mission is to enhance public understanding of food, farming and the natural world by operating a community farm that provides hands‑on learning, training and experiences designed to improve health and wellbeing.


We are also committed to the conservation, protection and enhancement of the farm’s wildlife and habitats, ensuring that FarmEco remains a flourishing landscape for generations to come.

Where to find us:

FarmEco is located just to the east of Nottingham, in the village of Screveton, off the main road. The car park for FarmEco and Velo Verde Cafe is clearly signed. FarmEco itself is located up a gravel track. You will pass some pens with animals and then see the polytunnel on the right. Our Honesty Hut is just on the right where the track leaves the car park.
