FarmEco is committed to protecting and respecting your data & privacy. This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data We collect, or that you provide to Us, will be processed and stored by Ourselves. For the purpose of the GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION 2018, the data controller is FarmEco, off Lodge Lane, Sreveton, NG13 8JL.
How we use your information
Personal and business information collected by FarmEco is not used for marketing purposes, and is strictly limited to aiding Us to carry out Our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and FarmEco, and to notify you of any changes to our service or terms of business. Email address details are used when preparing and sending invoices, business newsletters, and compiling email campaign reports. Opportunities to unsubscribe from newsletters are provided with every mailing.
Memberships and Subscriptions
When you join FarmEco as a member or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect and store your personal information, such as your name and email address, in our customer relationship management system (FluentCRM). We use this data to manage your membership, send you relevant updates, and monitor email engagement to improve our communications. You can unsubscribe or manage your preferences at any time by clicking the link at the bottom of our emails.
Event Bookings
When you book tickets for an event on our website, we collect the information necessary to process your booking. This typically includes your name, email address, phone number, and billing details. This information is processed using The Events Calendar system and is used to issue your tickets, manage event capacity, and send you important updates regarding the event you are attending. Ticket booking records are retained for administrative, legal, and tax purposes for as long as required by UK law.
Payment transactions are securely processed by our payment gateway providers, and we do not store your full credit card details on our servers.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. When you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
While we do not sell your data to third parties, personal data collected for memberships, subscriptions, and event bookings is processed through our website’s integrated tools (FluentCRM and The Events Calendar). If you purchase a ticket, your payment information may be shared securely with our third-party payment processors to complete the transaction.
How long we retain your data
Data stored in FluentCRM is retained for as long as you remain an active subscriber or member. If you choose to unsubscribe, your data will be marked as inactive or deleted in accordance with your requests.
Ticket booking records are retained for administrative, legal, and tax purposes for as long as required by UK law.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
